God finished up what he was working on then took a day to rest. He made the sabbath for us, He didn’t need to take a break because He’s God. He was setting the example for us. He wants us to take care of ourselves. We need to take time to recharge and rest. Life can get so busy and we sometimes want to take care of everyone around us. Sometimes we give until there’s nothing left to give. We can’t pour out of an empty cup. Taking care of yourself is not a selfish act. It’s actually the opposite. When we’re fresh and ready to go, that’s when we can make a difference in this world. God says you matter so take care of the gift of life He gave you. ~Missy
